Capturing Connection: Conferences in Chicago and New Orleans
This past year has been an incredible journey of connection, learning, and storytelling across two vibrant cities: Chicago in July and New Orleans in November. I had the honor of photographing the National Alliance for Care at Home at both of their 2025 conferences, in addition to their 2024 Annual Conference in Denver. Being welcomed back year after year, event after event, is one of the greatest honors of my work. It means the relationships we build matter, and the images we create together continue to make an impact.
For me, photographing conferences is not just about documenting a schedule; it is about capturing the heartbeat of a community. It is about intention. It is about the energy that fills the room when leaders gather to solve problems that shape the future of care delivery. And it is about creating images that allow teams to relive those moments long after the closing session.
Chicago: The 2025 Financial Summit
In July, I traveled to Chicago for the 2025 Financial Summit. This event was presented in partnership with the Home Care and Hospice Financial Managers Association (HHFMA) and brought together the financial minds behind care at home: CFOs, analysts, strategists, and leaders navigating a landscape that is evolving faster than ever.
The sessions were packed with insights into market shifts, technology advancements, and financial transformation. I captured rooms full of collaboration as attendees exchanged ideas, learned from experts, and tackled the pressures that todayβs financial environment places on providers.
Chicagoβs summertime energy was the perfect backdrop. Bright, bold, and buzzing with movement. Between sessions, I enjoyed stepping outside to soak in the sunshine, explore the riverside paths, and capture portraits and candid moments infused with the spirit of the city.
New Orleans: The 2025 Annual Meeting and Exposition
In November, I joined the National Alliance for Care at Home once again in New Orleans for their 2025 Annual Meeting and Exposition. This conference built beautifully on the legacy of their past events, but with a renewed focus on executive leadership and the future of care at home.
This yearβs programming was designed specifically for leaders navigating some of the most pressing challenges in the industry. The expanded executive sessions encouraged strategic collaboration, bold conversations, and exploration of innovative best practices.
One of the standout features was the industry-leading expo. With more than 150 companies represented, the space was full of energy. Demonstrations, discussions, one-on-one consultations, and solutions designed to help providers stay ahead in a rapidly shifting market.
New Orleans added its own layer of magic. The cityβs vibrant color, music, and texture are like nothing else. Being able to document a conference in a place so rich with culture made every moment even more dynamic.
The Heart of This Work
I am always grateful when clients trust me with their events, but working with the National Alliance for Care at Home continues to be something truly special. Photographing their conferences allowed me not only to document the experience but also to learn alongside attendees and witness firsthand how impactful their work is.
What I love most is the connection. The quiet conversations between sessions, the sparks of innovation during panels, the joy of people reuniting year after year. These moments are the ones I am always looking for through the lens. They are the ones who tell the real story.
As a mission-driven brand, I feel honored to support organizations that are shaping the future of care. And I am already looking forward to capturing the connections that await at the next conference, wherever in the country we gather next.
